A Galician country manor converted into a three star hotel

Located opposite Monterrei fortress, this Parador has wonderful panoramic views of the town of Verin with a background of the vineyards.

The design is that of a traditional Galicia country house with a fortified tower. The bedrooms occupy two wings of the house.
The interior offers the guest a pleasant, welcoming and quiet atmosphere.

The bedrooms are decorated with ochre shades and wooden floors. They have views of the beautiful large garden, the tempting swimming pool, and the castle.

Experiment Galician cuisine which offers various dishes such as "Merluza a la gallega" (hake), "filloas" (type of pancake) in cream scented with grape liquor, and shoulder of pork with parsnip tops.

In Verin visit the churches of Santa Maria la Mayor and la Merced, and the ”Casa del Asistente”.
Monterrei is a village of Historic-Artistic Ensemble presided by a castle bearing the same name.

Do not miss the Palace of the Condes which was built in the 15th century.

In February you may participate in the carnival of Verin. There are also the Summer Feasts which are held in August and the Three Wise Men Parade which is celebrated every 5th of January.

Discover the Invernadeiro Natural Park which is an ideal environment to practise hiking, biking, or horse riding.

Near the Parador you may also swim, take horse back riding lessons, or adventure on a boat trip.

This Parador has twenty one twin bedded rooms and a suite.

All the rooms have a telephone, television, cable television, a safe and a mini bar.

The hotel has central heating and there is a restaurant and bar. There are facilities for business meetings.

Pets are not allowed.

The Parador is on a hillock in Monterrey. Exit N-525 Benevente to Vigo Road onto E-801 (sign Verin) Pass through Verin. Continue 2 Kms to Monterrey. Follow signs to Parador.
