This Parador with its modern appearance is located in the Aran Valley, an area of incomparable beauty.
The Parador has unsurpassable panoramic views of the Pyrenees, which may be enjoyed from the circular glazed living room.
The swimming pool and a well looked after gardens are maintained in perfect harmony with the Paradors breathtaking surroundings. Parador Vielha has recently incorporated a SPA featuring a variety of services such as massage, scottish bath, sauna, jacuzzi, beauty tratments, etc. The SPA complex is closed on Sunday afternoon and Monday. In the restaurant sample some of the typical dishes of this region. The chef suggests:
"Olla aranesa" which is a regional stew;
Vielha has a rich historic and cultural heritage. Visit the Romanic churches of the 12th and 13th centuries, the Ethnological Museum, and the Ice Palace. The main celebrations in Vielha are the local Patron Feast held on September 8 and the Fair on October 8. The Battle of Flowers should not be missed in the month of August. In winter all the main activities in the Aran Valley are snow oriented. There is alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and snow boarding. During the rest of the year there are several enjoyable excursions to be made including a visit to the lakes of Colomer and Saburedo, which are approximately thirteen kilometres from the Parador.
The accommodation in this hotel of the Paradors group is in eighty seven twin bedded rooms and seven rooms with a double bed.
Special rooms for the disabled are available on prior arrangement. The Parador has air conditioning, a gift shop, a restaurant and bar. There are facilities to hold business meetings.
